Designed for Photographers

Because the difference between seeing Egypt and photographing Egypt is in the details.

Time to Create

Our itinerary isn’t about racing from one attraction to the next. We build in time to explore compositions, wait for the light and experience remarkable locations through your camera—not just check them off a sightseeing list.

A Private Dahabiya Experience

Our private Dahabiya gives our small group a unique way to experience and photograph the Nile. From river landscapes and traditional boats to villages and everyday life along the banks, the journey itself becomes part of the photography adventure.

Photography Comes First

Whenever possible, our days are planned around the best photographic opportunities—from early morning and golden hour to sunset, blue hour and night. When the light is worth waiting for, we wait.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our Egypt Photography Adventure.

What photography skill level is required?

This adventure is designed for photographers who are comfortable using their own camera, from enthusiastic hobbyists to advanced and professional photographers. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should understand the basic operation of your camera before the trip. This is a photography adventure rather than a classroom-style workshop.

Your trip includes 10 nights of accommodations, four nights aboard our private Dahabiya, domestic flights within Egypt, group airport transfers, private transportation for scheduled activities, private English-speaking local guides, entrance fees for included sites, meals as specified in the itinerary and standard guide, driver and staff gratuities.

No. International airfare to and from Egypt is not included. You will be responsible for arranging your international flights. We will provide arrival and departure details so you know exactly when and where to meet the group.

Yes, subject to availability. The base trip price is based on double occupancy, and a limited number of single accommodations will be available for an additional single-room supplement. Final single-room pricing will be provided before booking.

A Dahabiya is a traditional-style sailing vessel designed for a slower, more intimate journey along the Nile. Our group will have a private Dahabiya for four nights, giving us a very different experience from traveling aboard a large Nile cruise ship and wonderful opportunities to photograph the river and life along its banks.

A DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens is strongly recommended for wildlife photography. A second camera body, wider lens for landscapes, extra batteries, memory cards and appropriate camera protection can also be useful. We'll provide a detailed recommended equipment and packing list before departure.

This trip offers tremendous variety: ancient Egyptian architecture, the Pyramids of Giza, Cairo street scenes, environmental portraits and local culture, Luxor's temples and archaeological sites, Nile landscapes, traditional boats, villages and everyday life along the river.

This is a moderately active adventure. Expect walking at archaeological sites and through city streets, stairs and uneven surfaces, and getting on and off transportation and the Dahabiya. You should be comfortable spending several hours exploring with your camera gear.

Yes. Standard gratuities for our local guides, drivers and support staff are included in your trip price. Additional tipping is always optional and never expected.

International airfare, Egypt visa, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses, laundry and the single-room supplement are not included.

I would hold this answer until we establish your deposit amount, payment schedule and cancellation policy. Then this should become one of the most prominent FAQs.
